This antique spooner is a genuine piece of American glass history — produced by the Northwood Glass Company around 1905-1907 in the Regal pattern, a design prized by collectors for its rich blue opalescent glow. The blue glass fades beautifully to white at the top edge, a signature opalescent effect that Northwood perfected and that gives the piece a luminous, almost glowing quality when held to light.
Spooners like this one were originally a fixture of the formal dining table, designed to hold spoons upright and within easy reach — a small but essential piece of Victorian and Edwardian tableware. At 4.25" tall and 3.5" in diameter, this is a compact, elegant piece with genuine functional history behind it.
Antique condition — chips along the angled edges, consistent with its 115+ years of age. Ships from Altadena, CA.
